Artist Biography

Marita is a native of the kentucky Bluegrass region, and now resides in the Southwest. She has the rare artistic ability to portray any subject matter, rather than being limited to one or two specialties. What makes her work so unique and appealing? She focuses on capturing casual, candid moments of quiet beauty when her subjects are working, playing, interacting with each other or just relaxing. These are the universal moments and feelings we relate to and live on a daily basis.

She uses only the finest oils, oil-primed Belgian Linen and other musuem quality state-of-the-art archival techniques and materials to create true heirlooms for her pleased clientele. Classically trained for years, Marita continues to study with the greatest representational masters of today and her works hang internationally alongside those of many great artists.
