GOLD & PLATINUM DRAWINGS
A gold and platinum drawing
is made by dragging a 24k gold and platinum rod across
a surface. This is an old technique which was very
popular in the15th century (silver point, gold point,
and metal point). Using this medium, tonal differences
are built very slowly therefore drawings are in low
contrast. The drawings are subtle and delicate in
tonal values that reflect metallic gold and platinum
in certain
angles. For more information on portraits done in
24k gold and platinum, please contact the gallery.

Artist Biography
"My
gold point and platinum point drawings as well
as paintings represent a waivering tension between
reality
and illusion,
and through
them
I face
challenges of obtaining balance between light
and shadow, color and transparency. At the same
time, I am trying to get close to the real world
by engaging in an artistic dialogue of colors
and shapes. Their rhythm allows me to detect
the vibrancy of nature. My desire is to reveal
feelings and emotions as the unifying idea which
spins through the cages of life, bringing dynamic
and energy to man's mind."
Andre Tutak was born in Wroclaw, Poland and received

City, where he received his Bachelor of Arts
