Biography
Yukon,
Oklahoma artist Pat Snyder finds a simple moment in time and
creates the emotion of that every day glimpse of life. Drawing
in pencil and ink as a youth, Snyder studied with Faye Taylor,
a fashion artist and later with painters Joan Marron LaRue, Jean
Richardson and the late Marilyn Bendell. Her works have been
displayed in Taos and Santa Fe as well as the former Norman Wilkes
Gallery. Former Arts Council Executive Director Betty Price said
"Pat Snyder's portraits and landscapes capture the personality
and vitality of her subjects with warmth and texture. Her works
give us a sense of joy and allow us to see that moment in time."
PAST EXHIBITIONS:
1995 - One-person show at the Omniplex Museum in Oklahoma City, OK
2007 - Show at the Governor's Gallery - Oklahoma State Capitol
2007 - Chosen to be one of 100 artists to paint a portrait of one
of 100 famous or infamous people for the Oklahoma Centennial: Subject

2007 - Portrait of Florence Birdwell on the program cover for Oklahoma
City University's Starry Night, honoring Florence Birdwell with
the Oklahoma City Philharmonic
2008 - Honored by the Mable C. Frye Library with a display of her
private collection of the yearly Christmas painting that graces
her personal cards each years. These paintings have been used for
the covers of church Christmas programs in Yukon, El Reno and Crossings
Church in Oklahoma City, OK.
