Artist Biography

Dennis Johnson is an internationally recognized contemporary painter who chooses to call Oklahoma City home. Art galleries in Dallas, Santa Barbara , Newport Beach, Austin, Kansas City, St. John's Newfoundland, Toronto, New Orleans, Tulsa and Oklahoma City represent him. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, as well as many juried shows. His work has appeared in several publications and films.

"As an artist who has painted for the last twenty-five years, I am continually looking to stretch my mind with new information, new points of view and new sunsets. My paintings are like inventions, and I love discovering new territory. I try to bring control, order and realism into my abstractions because I think those are things that no one expects to see in abstract paintings. I love to paint, and I think that says it all."
