Artist Biography
David has drawn with pen and ink since he can remember; a pad with colorful pencils or markers was his favorite pastime. He started painting with acrylic about 12 years ago. The key word to describe his work is COLOR. He loves color and the way paints blend when worked with a palette knife; it allows him to not only work and blend with great color but also add dimension, texture and depth.
David has a love of all art and mediums, from the masters of impression and realism to the most contemporary. This love has taken him to museums across the country. He tries to absorb something from each work of art in one way or another and always feel as though he is learning thru experiencing them.
A love of the outdoors and nature in general is always inspiring. Given the vast terrain that our great state of Oklahoma offers and the most amazing skies and flora, he has only just began to translate his impressions. David loves to paint what he is feeling, going from a landscape of an Oklahoma scene to the most abstract contemporary piece. Painting is always a learning experience with new subjects and interests.
